I think it was appropriate to have the world cup in South Africa because South Africa shows there appriciation for the world cup the most. Even though teams usually get further then South Africa, South Africa has the most spirt ! Also South Africa is a great place, why should the world cup NOT be there?
My final year here at Wilfrid Jury has been very intresting. There has been many thig’s going on. For example, in school activites, new friendships, old friendships and more. Im sad to be leaving some of my friends behind that a are going to different schools then me in September. Glad to be moving on to highschool, meeting new people, and getting closer to my future.
This summer going into grade 9 there’s many thing’s I have in mind to do. Me and a friend have came up with an idea. We decided to make a list of things we would like to do during the summer. To keep us busy. Also, to have a great summer !
Challenge 1: Self-Audit
QUESTION: How often do you comment on other blogs during a typical week?
ANSWER: I tend to go on edublog’s alot, I usally work on my blog, but when I do comment on other blog’s I tend to comment diffrent times each week, avrage would be around 1-3 times a week.
QUESTION: Do you track your blog comments? How? What do you do with your tracking?
ANSWER: Im currently not tracking blog comment’s right now, my teacher is actcully, and he is using Google Reader to track the comment’s that go along the blog’s.
Challenge 2: Comment On A Blog You’ve Never Commented Before.
QUESTION: Vist a blog that you’ve never visited and leave a comment.
ANSWER: I vistied a new blog, it was very good. I also explored the blog and looked threw the work and post’s they posted. I left a comment on the blog. Here’s a link to the blog!
When I hear ‘ Real Hero ‘ the first thing that comes to my mind is super hero’s saving the world. Also, when I hear REAL hero I think of people who are hero’s to me. Also, that are real. My hero is my mom. Because my mom’s been there for me, and show’n me right from wrong, and taught me goood. To me, that’s a REAL hero, not someone ‘ saving the world. ‘ Someone helping you out and being a role modle to you , someone you can look up to when you need it. Someone who’s a good example. Yes, hero’s are known for flying around the place, saving burning bulding’s, helping people down from a tall place there stuck on, helping the police with a robery. That’s a hero, but that’s not a REAL hero. REAL hero’s are role modles, a person you can talk to and look up too, a person you can trust with so much and they’ll never let you down. So when I hear a real hero, and have to talk about what it mean’s to me, thats what I’d say.
May.21 – Mr.Millward’s birthday, today in the morning me and another student in Mr.Millward’s class came in early in the morning to decorate the class for Mr.Millward’s birthday! Also we made a cake and card for his special day. We gave him a “ birthday boy ” pin too, for him to wear. This was a GREAT way to start a morning!

Eva Olsson was a surviver of the holocaust. She came to our school and told us her story. Eva was 19 when the holocaust went on. She told us how she lost her family because of the holocaust and all the jews getting killed. Her sister that was younger than her by 2 years and a half was the only one who stayed living. Eva told us how they would put them into gas chambers, and how they would use little boys as experiments and kill little babys. Eva’s story really touched me, shes really strong to tell everyone her story. She told us something that ill never forget, “never take your family for granteg, I never got to say bye to mine.” Im really happy Eva Olsson came to our school and told us everything and im happy that shes able to share her story with everyone and im proud of her for being strong enough to do that.
